Specialized Therapy:
Innovative Paired Angled Digit Treatment

This feature revolutionizes the treatment of myofascial trigger points for it now allows the clinician to effectively compress and stretch the tissue housing the trigger point. This ability of your patient to simultaneously stretch and compress myofascial trigger point with the Fenix Rehab System is a unique feature found only in the Fenix. This innovative therapy uses paired angled digits which stretch the tissue housing the myofascial adhesion while compressing the TP. There are two different sets of paired holes, one set is found at the very end of the Fenix opposite the handle, and the second set of paired angled holes are found between the large 3/4 inch holes near the handle. The paired angled holes, at the end of the Fenix opposite the handle, are utilized only with the longest digits (2½ & 3 inches). The paired angled holes between the 3/4 inch holes near the handle are only for the shortest digits (1½ & 2 inches).

Treating myofascial TPs and adhesions in large deep muscles (e.g. buttocks):

The patient should place a pair of the longest digits either 3 inch or 2½ inch, depending on the thickness of the tissue selected by you for treatment. Again, these are placed in the paired angled holes at the very end opposite the handle.
The patient then finds the TPs identified by you for paired digit treatment and then simply follow the steps in Basic Fenix application steps 1-12 utilizing the 3 or 2½ inch paired angled digits.

Treating myofascial TPs or adhesions in smaller, shallower, thinner tissues (e.g. paraspinals, shoulder area):

The patient simply places a pair of the shortest digits either 2 or 1½ inch depending on the thickness of the tissue selected by you for treatment, in the angled holes near the handle between the large 3/4 inch holes.
They then should find the myofascial TP or adhesion identified by you for paired digit treatment and simply follow the Basic Fenix application instructions (page 5-7, steps 1-12) utilizing the shorter 2 or 1 ½ inch paired angled digits.

It's that simple! With this treatment your patients not only apply therapeutic ischemic compression to their myofascial TP, but they are specifically stretching the tissue housing the TP, a vital component to rehabilitating myofascial tissue. This is something no other product can do for you and it's a unique feature of the Fenix Rehab System.
