Specialized Therapy:
Single Angled Digit Treatment

Another added feature of the Fenix is the ability to use single digits at a specific length, diameter, and angle.
The two sets of paired angled holes on the Fenix at the end opposite the handle and near the handle can be used singularly with different length digits to get at hard-to-reach places (e.g. under the shoulder blade).
There is also an angled hole next to the handle which is of a lesser angle than the other holes. This 70o angled single hole can be used with different length digits to get a better treatment angle to treat various areas of the body.
When utilizing an angled single digit your patient simply follows the Basic Fenix Treatment instructions, as described in the Patient Guidebook.
With a single angled digit your patient can apply all the special techniques previously described, such as variable ischemic compression, myofascial release techniques, position release techniques, and deep transverse friction massage. They simply follow the specific previously given instructions for that technique; the only difference is that they use an angled single digit instead of a straight 90o hole to get at hard to reach tissues.
After instructions by you on how to properly utilize single angled digits, the patient will find, with some experimentation on their part, the best angle and length of digit to most effectively treat primary myofascial trigger points.
Another added feature of the Fenix is the ability to use larger 3/4 inch diameter digits to appropriately treat muscles such as the gluteus maximus with ischemic compression or myofascial release. (See picture below)
